Urban volunteers for the Beijing Olympic and Paralympic Games are those responsible for providing volunteer services in urban volunteer service stations set up around the periphery of Olympic venues and in other key areas of the city to facilitate the smooth operations of both the Games and the city during the Games of the XXIX Olympiad and the XIII Paralymic Games. This policy is a general policy designed for all the volunteers during the Beijing Olympic and Paralympic Games.

The recruitment of urban volunteers for the Beijing Olympic and Paralympic Games will start from June 2007 to June 2008. The applicants may file an application via the website designated by the district (county) where they prefer to provide volunteer service, or submit a hard-copy of the application form to the local sub-district (neighborhood, township or town) committee of the Communist Youth League.
